Respect for the territory that hosts us, and to the people who live there, to whom we could never be grateful enough. Respect for our staff, collaborators and suppliers, without whose commitment and enthusiasm nothing would be possible. And respect above all for the environment, surrounded as we are by such an awe-inspiring reminder of its fragile beauty.
These are the simple principles that have always guided us.
Sustainability.
For years we have been working to reduce our energy consumption by using LED lighting, home automation, and heat pumps, and by inviting our guests to help us save energy. We prioritize natural materials such as wood, stone and marble. We provide charging stations for electric cars and bikes and make these ecological modes of transport available to guests. Moreover, our hotels are bicycle-friendly and we use low-impact biodegradable detergents. Plastic water bottles have been replaced with glass. We haven’t been using plastic straws since longtimes.
CSR.
We support the main cultural events of the city, offering free hospitality to speakers, actors, directors, organizers. We have been organizing fundraising events for Charities opearing locally. Our fundraising cocktail is now a regular appointment for the people of Como. We support Cometa, the innovative work/study high school that also offers a mini-master’s program. We are among the founders of the Accademia dell’Hotellerie di Cernobbio, to which we contribute by offering internships. We also host concerts of classical music as part of a network with the Teatro Sociale di Como and the Dimore del Quartetto of Milan.
We believe that tourism should bring added value to the territory, but not just in economic terms. This means improving the quality of life, structures and infrastructure, and the air that we breathe, both literally and figuratively.
