Carbon Footprint

We have some important news to share with you: LarioHotels has significantly reduced its carbon footprint, thanks to the exclusive use of 100% renewable energy across all its properties.

This achievement is even more meaningful considering that, compared to previous years, occupancy has increased.

This initiative is part of a broader corporate strategy to combat climate change and demonstrates how sustainability and growth can truly go hand in hand!

The numbers speak for themselves:

In 2024, we reduced our emissions from 622 to 398 tons of CO₂ equivalent — a 36% reduction!
This result was made possible also thanks to the expansion of green energy use at Vista Verona and Villa Flori.

Today, all our hotels use only renewable energy — a great step forward for the environment, and for us!

What is a carbon footprint, and how is it calculated?

Calculating a carbon footprint means measuring the amount of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions produced by a company.
LarioHotels has chosen to monitor:

  • Direct emissions generated by the company (Scope 1), such as the use of gas for cooking and heating.
  • Indirect emissions generated by energy purchased and consumed by the company (Scope 2), such as electricity drawn from the grid rather than produced internally.

Thanks to this commitment, we actively contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the hospitality sector and to making the world we live and work in a cleaner place.

A special thank-you goes to all of you who, every day, play your part in creating a more conscious and responsible kind of hospitality.

Let’s keep it up!
